Terms of Use
These are the terms for reading and using lekkerbettingsites.co.za, and opening any page on the site means you accept them.
Who may use the site
The site is for adults aged 18 and over in South Africa, the age the National Gambling Board’s FAQ gives for betting online with a licensed operator. If you are under 18, or if you are reading from a place where gambling is unlawful, you must not use the site or follow its links to operators.
What the site does
Lekker Betting Sites publishes reviews, comparisons and guides about licensed South African betting sites and their apps. It is a publisher and not a bookmaker, so it takes no bets, has no account, deposit or login of its own and never holds or moves your money, and any bet you make is placed on the operator’s own site after you follow a link from one of our pages.
The information
Everything on the site is provided as general information and opinion. We take facts from the operators’ own pages and give the date we read them, as we do under the comparison table on our home page, but offers, terms, odds and payment methods change without notice, so a figure here may have changed by the time you read it. The terms an operator shows you when you register are the ones that bind you.
Links to operators
Links lead to betting sites and other organisations we do not control. Your relationship with an operator, including your account, your money, your bets and your data, is between you and that operator under its terms. A link to an operator can be an affiliate link, as our affiliate disclosure explains.
Your responsibility
You decide whether to gamble, where, and how much. You are responsible for checking that an operator is licensed, for reading its terms, for keeping to the law where you are and for the money you choose to risk. Our responsible gambling page explains the limits and help available.
Checking that an operator is licensed
The National Gambling Board’s FAQ says online betting is only fully legal when the operator is licensed by a provincial gambling board in South Africa to offer online betting, and when you are over 18. Licences are granted province by province, and the board’s about page notes that some provincial laws do not line up with the National Gambling Act, so the rules can differ from one province to the next.
Before you deposit, look for the operator’s licence details, which the board’s FAQ says should be shown on the home page of its site, and look the operator’s name or licence number up on the National Gambling Board’s list of verified operators. Licensed operators also state the age rule themselves, and Betway’s footer, for example, says that no one under 18 may bet and that when you gamble you run the risk of losing.
What you may not do
- Copy the site: the text, structure and design belong to Lekker Betting Sites. Quoting a line or two with a link to the page is fine. Lifting whole pages, copying the site with a script or presenting our work as yours is not.
- Interfere with it: this covers any attempt to break, overload or probe the site, or to get into it or the web server behind it without permission.
- Misrepresent it: that includes claiming that the site endorses you, your business or your product.
Availability
We aim to keep the site online at all times, but it can be offline now and then, and pages may be changed, moved or removed without notice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Lekker Betting Sites and the people who run it are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, or gambling with any operator reached through it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
These terms can be updated at any time and the copy on this page is always the current one. If you keep using the site after an update, you have accepted it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute about them falls to the South African courts.
